Always include your Pet at the time you make your Room Reservations. Some Hotels have selected Rooms for Pets.
Keep your Pets OFF the Furniture or bring a Sheet to cover that chair you Pup must sit in. Some Hotels provide the sheets.
Do NOT leave your Pets alone in your Room. Some Hotels may allow you to leave your well-behaved Pet alone in the room, if left in a Crate. Please Ask.
Place the Food & Water Dishes in the Bathroom. The floor is usually tile or a more durable surface, in case you Pet is not the perfect diner.
Pets are generally NOT allowed in Lobby areas and Restaurants.
Do NOT let your Pet soil the grounds, removal of waste is mandatory. Buy a small canister of plastic bags (available at Paws, Mendocino or www.littleriverpetshop.com) for the occasion.
Travel Etiquette
Keep your Dog on a Leash or otherwise contained.
Downtown Mendocino and many Hotels have cats, do not scare the kitties.
Not all Dogs in town want to visit with each other - ask first.
Be prepared, occaisionally there are off-leash Dog in Town.
Do NOT leave your Pet in the Car for long periods of time. People worry about them getting hot.
Bring a portable Water Bowl and Water if you go on a long hike.
Dogs often play off-leash at Big River Beach on the River-side. Do NOT go on the Ocean-side without a leash or you might get a ticket.
